Honors
- In 2013, all of the Brown, Goldstein & Levy partners – Chris Brown, Joe Espo, Andy Freeman, Dan Goldstein, Sharon-Krevor Weisbaum, Andy Levy, Dana McKee, Stu Simms, and Josh Treem - were selected by his peers to the Maryland Super Lawyers. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are chosen for inclusion in Super Lawyers.
- Greg Care and Brooke Lierman were chosen for inclusion on the 2013 Maryland Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice and must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of the attorneys in Maryland are named to the Rising Stars list each year.

- Andy Levy was selected as the Baltimore Best Lawyers Litigation – Labor & Employment Lawyer of the Year for 2013. Only a single lawyer in each practice area in each community is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.”
- The American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland honored Chris Brown with the 2012 Elisabeth Gilman Award for his commitment and impact as General Counsel of the ACLU and his lifetime of legal service to civil liberties and ACLU clients.
- In 2012, Stu Simms was awarded Baltimore Child Abuse Center’s first Founder’s Award, recognizing his efforts in co-founding the organization in 1987 and his vision, leadership, and advocacy that insured child victims of sexual abuse in Baltimore would be treated with respect, dignity, and kindness.
- Dan Goldstein was selected for Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society whose membership is limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.
- In 2012, Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc. awarded Chris Brown the inaugural Dickens Warfield Fair Housing Award for his years of support in successfully advancing BNI’s fair housing litigation.
- Brown, Goldstein & Levy, LLP was honored with the Pacesetters Award at the 15th Annual Equal Justice Council Recognition Breakfast for the firm’s outstanding contribution and service to the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau.
- Andy Levy was selected to receive The Daily Record‘s 2011 Leadership in Law Award, recognizing the outstanding work being done by members of the legal community throughout Maryland.
- Mel Sykes, was selected as the Baltimore Best Lawyers Appellate Practice Lawyer of the Year for 2012; only a single lawyer in each practice area in each community is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.”

- Chris Brown was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2012 Best Lawyers First Amendment Litigation category. Chris has been listed in Best Lawyers since 1995.
- Mel Sykes was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2012 Best Lawyers Appellate Practice and Trusts & Estates Litigation categories.

- Dan Goldstein, and Dr. Marc Maurer, president of the National Federation of the Blind, were selected to receive the American Bar Association’s 2011 Paul G. Hearne Award for Disability Rights, an award presented each year to an individual who has made significant contributions to further the rights, dignity, and access to justice for people with disabilities.
- Josh Treem was listed in the Washington Post’s 2011 Baltimore & Washington D.C.’s Top Attorneys.
- Josh Treem was listed in Baltimore Magazine’s 2011 Top Attorneys in Maryland.
- Dan Goldstein was selected to receive The Daily Record‘s 2010 Leadership in Law award, recognizing the outstanding work being done by members of the legal community throughout Maryland.
- Andy Freeman was selected for the 2010 Robert M. Bell Award for Leadership in Public Service from the University of Baltimore Students for Public Interest .
- The Legal Aid Bureau presented Andy Freeman the 2009 Champion of Justice Award.
- Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum received The Arc of Baltimore’s 2008 Stanley S. Herr Advocacy Leadership Award, presented to a person who demonstrates in his/her profession outstanding advocacy, scholarship, and leadership on behalf of persons with developmental disabilities.
- Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum was selected for inclusion in the 2007 Daily Record‘s Top 100 Women in Maryland.
- Josh Treem was presented the Maryland State Bar Association’s 2007 Lee A. Caplan Award for 20 years of providing pro bono representation of the highest caliber to ACLU clients facing criminal charges.
- Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum received The Arc of Maryland’s 2007 Bernard A. Gould Award for Outstanding Leadership and Dedication Benefitting Persons with Developmental Disabilities and their Families.
- Andy Freeman received the Daily Record’s 2006 Leadership in Law Award.
- The National Law Journal listed Andy Freeman in the “Top Defense Wins of 2000.”
