Leaford Walker, a 68-year-old Florida resident, alleges he was severely beaten, immobilized by a stun gun, and pepper-sprayed without reason by three Prince George’s County police officers when he was in Maryland for his son’s funeral. ¬†After he was wrongfully arrested and held at the county’s detention center, Mr. Walker was forced to miss his son’s service. ¬†Joe Espo, who represents Mr. Walker, said, “Because of the conduct of the police, he [Leaford Walker] not only suffered the physical injuries he suffered; he also missed the funeral.”
